Rapid Media Partners with OR for Paddle Zone
Rapid Media partners with Outdoor Retailer (OR) to produce the new Paddle Zone with the first-ever New Product Gallery (NPG). The NPG will feature picture gallery displays of new 2011 paddlesports gear. New products will also be featured in the New Product Gallery Showcase—a special insert produced by Rapid Media for the Summer Market copies of Rapid, Adventure Kayak, Kayak Angler and Canoeroots available in the Paddle Zone.
“There is an incredible number of exciting new paddlesport products for 2011; our goal is to showcase these products to the paddling industry and, more importantly perhaps, the greater outdoor industry,” says Scott MacGregor, founder and publisher of Rapid Media. “Working with manufacturers we've gathered more than 200 new products for OR to create the onsite gallery. It made sense to go a step further and leverage our print and digital media and offer buyers a take-away print guide of what’s new in paddlesports for next year.”
The printed NPG Showcase will also be made available to dealers through Rapid Media’s digital editions of its magazines, as well as, a free download through the iTunes Rapid Media App. Coming later this fall, after the show.
The Paddle Zone at the Salt Palace Convention Center is a 1,500 square-foot gathering place on the show floor for paddlesports industry advocates, athletes, retailers and brands, highlighting exciting new products and hosting paddle-specific presentations and guest speakers. OR and Rapid Media are sponsoring two Happy Hours in the Paddle Zone on days two and three of the show, August 4 and 5 (4 p.m.).
"We're super excited about working with Outdoor Retailer," says MacGregor. "Never before has the show invested as much in growing paddlesports, nor has there been this much excitement about the Paddle Zone in the centre of it all."
